This is a reminder that all students who will be driving/parking on Liberty High School campus will need to come to the main office and get a Parking Pass Permit form. This permit form must be completely filled out, including parent/guardian signature, and a payment of $30.00 must be made to receive a parking permit. All vehicles parking at Liberty High School must have a parking permit. If student vehicles do not have parking passes in cars by September 5, they are subject to being towed. Also, please remember that due to the new through road to the Liberty Middle School site, Liberty High School has lost 46 parking places, so there are fewer parking areas available. For a complete description of transportation and student drivers, please see pages 55-56 in the student handbook.

Parents and schools need to work together for the betterment of the students. Parents play an important role in providing support and building the confidence of their children. Parents should check some of the
tips
or
activties
they can use to develop their children’s confidence and improve their school experience.
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), in collaboration with the Virginia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, MADD Virginia, and Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, is pleased to provide
Power of Parents, a brochure
focused on preventing youth underage drinking. This brochure is for all parents of seniors to commemorate the senior year and preparation for graduation. Research indicates that parents are the key to preventing youth underage drinking, and teens are significantly less likely to drink if they have a parent who delivers a clear and consistent message that underage drinking is unacceptable. To further ensure our students have a safe and healthy senior yea, we are providing high schools across Virginia with critical brochures to support parent conversations with their seniors about underage drinking and DUI prevention.
